About three months ago and some eighty miles away, a sewage treatment plant had a little overflow problem. The facility in Hooksett, NH sent over 4 million of these little sewage disks – along hundreds of thousands of gallons of raw sewage – into the Merrimack River. And of course, that river leads to the ocean… and those little disks are finding their way to shorelines all over New England. Charming! This one was on Lighthouse Beach this morning.
