This sign hangs on a fence off Clapp Road near the Norwell border and on the perimeter of Wampatuck State Park.Once upon a time, these state park grounds were home to the Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot Annex… now it is recreational land and most of the traces of a military presence have been removed.
Don’t even get me started on the graffiti, which has been a major issue in Scituate lately. This particular blue bit of nonsense has been there a while but who knows what it’s supposed to signify… at least with the initials on the nearby tree, we have some idea of why they’re there!
