St. Pat’s Plunge

If you woke up on Saturday morning and this was the scene outside your door:

… and then if you drove to Peggotty Beach when the ocean was a half hour shy of high tide and this is what you saw waiting for you:

… would you do this?

St. Pat's Plunge

If you were participating in the 4th annual St. Pat’s Plunge and running into the ocean in early March was raising money for one of the best St. Patrick’s Day parades in the state, then yes, you would!

Congratulations to all you plungers!

  1. Yay! Congratulations plungers. We can’t wait for the big parade! x

  2. To answer your question, heck no! Great series of shots! I’m guesing it’s a great parade.

  3. My husband and I were joshing with my daughter, asking her if she was going to plunge next year. She plaintively asked if it would ok for her to just hold someone else’s towel on shore!

  4. It was quite the experience. I am still finding sand in my hair….Laura (scituatedinscituate)

  5. They are nuts!!!! This is a tradition in cold weather climates around the world, I guess, but you can barely get me into the water in a heated pool in Florida!
