Remember those preying mantis egg cases? Yes, I am stalking them – and no, there is no sign of them stirring. Sigh.
I have spotted the hummingbirds in my yard, but I’ll be completely gobsmacked if I manage to catch one of those with the camera!

Very curious looking. Gosh, I wish I’d see hummingbirds flitting around. I would be obsessed!
It really is a fascinating little construction! I’m curious to see what remains of it after the bebes have emerged.
Ali, do you have a hummingbird feeder? I’m so determined to capture them that I have 6 around the house! It works……
Love the praying mantis egg case!
I have one set up and am planning to get at least one more this weekend – they’re just so darn fast that by the time I realize they’re out there and grab my camera, I’m sure I’ll miss them!!
Love to see what you capture, if and when. I always have my camera out and at the ready. One simply never knows.
Oh to capture the wings of a HB … what joy!
They are so stunningly beautiful and it is such a delight to see them…
I had a HUGE praying mantis on my patio the other day, I almost stood on it, looked like a twig..thank goodness I didn’t! Can’t wait for the hummingbird shot, you can do it Ali!!
You have such faith in me, Grace, LOL!
