It was easy to overlook the date on the calendar today, with temperatures hovering around 60 degrees and puddles glistening on the pavement where ice might otherwise shine. It was easy to sit quiet in the car and listen to the rain drumming its fingertips on the windows and to lose yourself in a daydream.
