Don’t ask me. I don’t know. They just looked cool, lying there in a tangled jumble.
Kind of goes with the day I’ve been having – there’s a theme here, along the lines of “don’t ask me what’s going on here, I have absolutely no idea.”
But it was a lovely day! We hit 61 degrees and the small people ran around the playgrounds in short sleeves and shrieked at the novelty of it all.
Tomorrow night it’s going to snow.
I’m thinking of pinging Sarasota Daily Photo and asking if we could do an exchange program. All I want is a room somewhere, far away from the cold night air. Oh, wouldn’t it be loverly?
Prints are available at Ali Crehan Photography.

It’s a ship’s ladder, more specifically a pilot’s ladder, lowered down at sea to allow the harbor pilot to come aboard the ship and guide it into the local harbor. The circles at each end hold the rungs away from the ship making it easier to climb.
Thanks, Nat! Makes perfect sense now!
Interesting find and capture. You’re not alone in wanting to come to Sarasota. We have officially been invaded with snowbirds and northern tourists!
All I want when I am old and decrepit is to be able to go to a warm climate for regular visits during the winter!
