I know, it’s not the most exciting picture – but I’m really wondering what this same scene is going to look like tomorrow morning when it’s light again.
This is the view from my back deck, taken today at 4:58pm. It’s been snowing since about 9:20am but we don’t have much to show for it thus far – I measured 2.5 inches of nasty, icy wet snow on my front walk just now.
But everyone seems dead certain that it’s going to start picking up now and that we’re in this for a good twenty four hours yet. Scituate has strongly urged coastal residents to evacuate, including the keeper and his family at the lighthouse. No one is supposed to be out on the roads unless it’s an emergency, per the governor of Massachusetts, and power outages are starting to pop up all over.
So. I’ll see you on the other side. Be warm, be smart, be safe.
