The old WPA Field House in North Scituate, which for so long was neglected and rundown, has been restored and is the new home of the Scituate Information Center.
Actually, it would be more accurate to say it’s been improved beyond its former glory – there’s now a second floor with ample meeting space.
The lovely folks at the Information Center hosted a grand opening this weekend.
I’m looking forward to more opportunities to visit this lovely space again in the future!

I used to take woodcarving classes there with my father in the late 60’s, early 70’s. Paul McCarthy taught there for quite a few years. You can see his quarterboards all over Scituate.
Someone was telling me about those woodcarving classes – glad to hear your memories as well. 🙂
