Today was sunny. It was not snowing.
I think I may have actually wept a little while I walked on the beach, it was so lovely.
The parking lot at Peggotty Beach is little more than a narrow stretch pockmarked with deep icy ruts – there’s just enough space for a few cars to squeeze together for warmth while their somewhat crazed drivers walk down to the water’s edge.
The salt of the air is constant, no matter the season. If you face into the sun and close your eyes… and curl your toes up in your fleece socks and your fingers up in your gloves… you can almost imagine spring.

The winter sun is great. It may be super bright, but it’s nice when we get breaks like this. They’re few and far between this year. Nice shot!
I woke up this morning to discover my skylights were clear of ice and snow for the first time in weeks – HOORAY!
