I hope you’ve enjoyed my little series on Minot’s Light, otherwise known as “the I Love You Light.” Two excellent histories of this storied lighthouse can be found here and here, along with some amazing photographs and drawings of the current light and its ill-fated predecessor.
And for my readers who weren’t already familiar with Minot’s Light… guess what? It’s for sale!

Great mini series on one of my favorite lights. Great photo, too, by the way. I can never get the top as focused as you can, what kind of lens to you have?
I have really enjoyed your series, I never knew the one four three story, thanks.
Thanks!
As for the lens, I use a Nikon Coolpix P90 so it’s a fixed lens. It’s got a 24x zoom and is pretty sweet. A DSLR is more money than I can justify spending right now, so I’m doing the best I can with my high-end point-and-shoot. đŸ˜‰
Very pretty shot! Interesting that the lighthouse is for sale.
