What is it about bridges and summer waters that are so irresistible to boys of a certain age? They teeter on the edge – flex their toes – and then leap – swim back to the water’s edge with long gangly limbs – and clamber back up onto the railings – and leap again. Over and over.

Yes, they do! Hopefully they’re staying safe..I’ve know several boys growing up who either died or were paralyzed due to neck injury. BUT it IS a delightful photo!
I used to do this a lot. I think it’s a right of passage for the summer. Looks like they’re having fun!
I’m especially intrigued by the girls – invariably they come down in their bathing suits, but all they do is watch. I almost never see one of them jumping.
