    Are they trying to reseed the dunes? They look so lush and green.

    They are lush and green – in some sections. Some of what you’re seeing is simply perspective – in order to frame the sign with the dune grass I basically got very close and went low, so it fills the frame.

    The beaches took a real beating this past winter and many of them look very different than the summer before.

    I live in another location on the South Shore with dunes, and I’m always amazed at how many kids I have to chase out of them. Don’t people understand how fragile these dunes are? If the dunes go, it may be their house that goes next. Parents, please explain this to your children (not to mention dunes carry deer ticks, and lots of them!).

    Okay, I’m getting off my soap box now. 🙂
