Today the Scituate Farmers Market held its first Chowderfest!
Chowder was offered up by The Satuit Tavern, The Mill Wharf, Phin’s Restaurant, The Silent Chef, Ellen Mackenzie Caterer and Old Harbor Catering and all money raised went to Scituate Community Christmas, an extremely worthy organization.
Judging by the number of people happily clutching little cups of chowder, I’d say the event was a success. 😉

I was there and all the Chowder was delicious. I wish there had been more! Phin’s ran out before most people could get a taste of their yummy chowder. It was a great day at the Farmer’s Market, picking up great steak, bread, vegetables and running into old friends.
A sign of the season… how I miss events like this. Thank you for sharing, makes me homesick.
The chowder all smelled so good!! I wasn’t able to partake, just listen to everyone rave – but I’m glad the event was such a rousing success and look forward to its being an annual event. 🙂
