Monochrome Monday: Happy Halloween

It’s an annual tradition, trick or treating in the harbor. They close Front Street to traffic for a couple of hours and the merchants throw open their doors and welcome the party that is Halloween with arms held wide. Everywhere you turn there’s some amazing get-up, some adorable child, some costumed dog or decorated stroller, and I swear I will upload pictures of these and more tomorrow and you’ll be able to click this link here  [updated to add – see, I told you I’d do it!!] to see them… but right now, people, I am pooped, because the older your child gets the more exhausting Halloween gets – or maybe it’s the older the parent gets…?

In any case, what caught my eye tonight was not the crowds and the crazy fun, but this sweet and quiet moment – a little princess and a small ghost, disheveled and tired and taking a step back from the crowd to recollect themselves.

Happy Halloween – hope it was all treats and no tricks for you all.
