What better way to spend a beautiful afternoon than toasting marshmallows for s’mores along with a hundred or so Girl Scouts?
The annual Songs & S’mores Girl Scout event was this afternoon; hundreds of marshmallows were toasted and smooshed in between graham crackers and pieces of chocolate. There were sticky hands and songs from each troop – just another event that makes Scituate such a nice place to be!
Many thanks to the town-wide Scout leaders who work so hard to make events like this happen every year!

Toasting marshmallows for s’mores is such a wonderful memory of my kids’ youth. It is the kind of thing adults can’t do alone. You gotta have a kid beside you.
Fond memories from my ‘Girl Scout days’ too, ‘cept we used an open campfire… times sure have changed! Like that fire pit tho…
