On this eve of Thanksgiving – when the grocery stores are a tangled mass of shopping carts and the liquor store has lines stretching back to the beer coolers – when the highways and byways and airlines strain to contain all the traveling that’s being done – when folks are girding their loins for encounters with their crazy conservative uncles and loopy liberal cousins – when there’s never quite enough room or time or patience –
Remember to gather up your smallest and simplest blessings and be grateful for them.
