Being a seaside town, it’s only fitting that Santa Claus makes his arrival by boat in Scituate! The Harbormaster gives St. Nick a ride to the Town Pier, where he is thronged by red-cheeked children reaching out for a handshake, a smile, a nod – any acknowledgement from Big Man (as my daughter calls him!) will do….
Santa then gets a ride on a fire engine to a community party in his honor. This year it was held at the new Harbor Community Center just up the road.
The Santa Stroll is sponsored by Scituate Community Christmas, an amazing organization that deserves every bit of support they get and then some. Thank you for making this event such a special part of Scituate life!
p.s. – if you went to the Santa Stroll and lost anything, they’re holding found items at the Knights of Columbus hall! 🙂

Once again, Santa did not disappoint!! Fun was had by all at the old Pier 44. Thanks also to the Scituate Police who were helping every get there safely!!
