The sign in front of the Scituate Animal Shelter reads, “Dear Santa: All I want for Christmas is a forever home.” That plea could have been written by Petunia, who has been at the shelter patiently waiting for someone to look into her eyes and realize that she is the perfect cat for them.
As a volunteer with the Scituate Animal Shelter, it is my privilege to photograph cats like Petunia. Here’s hoping Santa reads her letter and makes her holiday wishes come true…

Great shot! I’d find it impossible to take photos and not take all the animals home with me, though I think my husband would put a stop to it. But Petunia’s beautiful. I can almost feel that soft fur. . .glad I’m far, far away.
