L is for little – little feet being dipped into the Atlantic ocean waters at Lighthouse Beach for the very first time, a little girl with her dimpled little toes sparkling from the salty waves.
And L is for love, which is not little at all. If we are lucky in life, we know love from the very moment we enter it. It infuses the very air we breathe. We take it into us as our lungs fill and breathe it back out into the world and it is all we know, like the waves of the sea against the beach, every grain of sand caressed unceasingly. We never question it. Love is with us always and forever, wherever we may go. It can never be taken from us.
