A local Girl Scout troop would like to remind you all to vote this Tuesday!
These girls stood in front of Scituate Town Hall with patriotic signs and accessories in a non-partisan voting rally this afternoon. They got a lot of thumbs up and friendly honks from passing motorists for their enthusiasm.
The Girl Scouts have played an important role in empowering young girls and women to seek positions of leadership and to work for meaningful change in our world.
State Representative Jim Cantwell stopped by to talk to the Girl Scouts about the importance of voting and fielded questions about civic engagement.
So… I promised a whole troop of Girl Scouts I’d vote this Tuesday. Consider yourself reminded, thanks to Troop 74449!

Good for them! I certainly hope that the outcome of this election continues to keep pathways and doors open to them.

It is a good thing to educate kids about the responsibility of voting while they are young and forming their opinions and habits.
