Isn’t there some expression along the lines of “cold feet, warm heart”? No, wait, I think that’s “cold hands, warm heart.”
But I digress. I just can’t help thinking about how cold those ducks and geese and seagulls get when they’re dipping into the January water of the harbor. I know I’m projecting and that their little bird feet are designed to splash about in all temperatures of water – but I don’t care. It makes me cold just looking at them.
Scituate Daily Photo will be offline until next weekend – the office is getting a complete overhaul. There’s furniture and boxes and painter’s tape flying in every direction, folks. Wish me luck and see you on the other side!

I’ll miss your posts for the next week…hurry back!
Well, Ali, you left us with a fine photo while you update your office.
This picture captures not only what it looks like, but what it feels like these days, too.
Good luck with your office overhaul! My husband is building new office furniture as I type this. I hope it will improve my disorganization, but I’m pragmatic enough to know my natural chaos will just look better. . .
